Updating and Reaccreditation At accreditation, Rugby League coaches are allocated a National Accreditation Number (also known as an ARL ID number). This number signifies a National Accreditation across Sport – not just Rugby League. It is a number that is your passport to a coaching career and allows you to go further – should this be a personal goal, to a higher level of accreditation and, therefore, responsibility. |

Your Accreditation Number has an expiry date – of four years, from its date of issue. At that time, you must update your accreditation and re-accredit in order to continue coaching. Of course, if you should upgrade your accreditation to a higher level at any time during those four years, then the expiry date re-commences from the date of issue of the upgraded accreditation. The expiry date is clearly shown on the accreditation card issued to all coaches on accreditation. In order to re-accredit, a coach must, during the four years, have been:

If re-accreditation does not occur during, or at the end of, the four years, the coach – who applies later on, may be required to (1) Re-do a course; (2) Complete some aspects of a course; or (3) Complete some specific activities to show coaching competency. Updating/Reaccreditation is conducted through the code’s accredited Course Providers and monitored by the State/Regional Managers. Re-accreditations are considered on an individual basis. |
